Legal Question in Business Law in Indiana

I create the invoices for all services completed. Before they go in the mail my boss checks them; and most times wants me to increase the amount of services billed, even though we didn't do that many. Can I be held accountable also if someone were to sue the company for overcharging them?

As a Franchise Attorney I can say this. The answer depends on a couple things - whether you are an employee or an independent contractor is one. Generally, employers are responsible for the acts of their employees who act within the scope of their employment. However, if you are a knowing and willing participate in fraud, this is a way you could be sued. Consult with a good business or franchise attorney in your area for specific advice.
