Legal Question in Business Law in Indiana

At my old daycare I signed a contract saying that when and if I wanted to leave the daycare I had to give a weeks notice with pay. When I went in on a fri to drop my child off I told the lady this was her weeks notice. At that point things got ugly and I tried leaving. At which point she told me to take my daughter and leave and still wanted to get her money. At that point I told her I would pay her because I didnt want things to get any more ugly. Now she is saying I owe her the money or shes going to sue for damages, lost wages, and send me to collections. I feel as though she ended the contract verbally when she asked us to leave. I dont see how she should get paid even though she didnt watch my daughter, and she wes the one that asked us to leave. That morning I had to find other childcare and I hd to find a new daycare.

Unfortunately, unless you have witnesses to her conduct, she is probably going to deny that she told you to leave. She can sue, but is not likely to win if you have a witness.
