Legal Question in Business Law in Indiana
employment ethics
i am a sales rep. for a roofing co. that is paid on commission only, when job is sold. The company supplies all leads to the sales reps. they used to have an unwritten rule saying you had a year to sell before it went back into telemarketing for reschedule. due to the economic times the company has developed a call back dept. that is calling and selling our leads to no commission to us only after 2 wks. from initial contact with potential customer. is the legal or ethical?

Re: employment ethics
It is legal and not unethical. The real question is whether there is a policy and practice that has established an implied contract that has now been breached.
