Legal Question in Business Law in Indiana
I filed a report with a company on 06/14 with the BBB. On 06/26 the company had an F rating with 12 complaints withe one resolved. On 06/28 it had a B- rating with 2 complaints 2 resolved. I don't know what happened to the 11 disputes that were not resolved. Mine sure wasn't. The BBB sent me an email when I filed to confirm the company I had a dispute with. On my compalint letter it has a totally different name than what was emailed. My case was supposed to have been closed on 07/25. Now it is open until 08/03. These two companies are related to each other, but I didn't sign a contract for the one that is on the letter. Is this legal for the BBB to change their records? I made copies of the F rating to send to the Attorney General so I still have them.

The BBB is a proivate organization and can follow its own procedures. There is nothing illegal concerning their practice.
