Legal Question in Business Law in Indiana
harassing phone calls at work
Is it against the law to call people at work about being 6 days late on a car pmt, when you have asked them not to call you at work. J.D. Byrider keeps calling my daughter at work if she is not there on the day that it is due and will keep calling her there. They call the house and threaten to repo her car and she is not even a complete week late.

The federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act only protects consumers from third party collectors. You write that the creditor is making these so calls, so the FDCPA does not apply. Indiana has no statute protecting us from creditors behaving badly.
