Legal & Proper Signature

My wife has signed a legal business agreement.

She still holds a drivers license in her previous name of 20 years and uses are her artist name, but has also changed her social security number to my last name after marriage.

She has signed the document this way;

Catherine H. AAAAAAA(Former artist last name)/BBBBBBBB(current married name),

i.e.; Catherine H. AAAAAAA/BBBBBBBB

The document says, ''The parties have affixed their legal and proper signatures, where indicated below and on the date indicated.

My questions are,

1. Will this signature stand up as the legal & proper signature if contested in court?

2. Should the agreement been signed in only her current married last name?

3. What recourse is there if contested?

Your wife will have no problem enforcing her agreement in court. "Legal and proper signatures" is a meaningless phrase. As long as the identity of the person who is signing the agreement can be proven, the agreement will be enforceable.
