Legal Question in Business Law in Indiana
got a letter from county stating we are in violation of our county ordinance for having an illegal auto repair business. we have had this business at our home for the last 4 1/2 years and now if we don't close we will be fine $500 a day. we have 3 kids and this is our only income, what can we do?

Can you be more specific? Is the business illegal, or is having the business at your home illegal? There is a difference. If it is a zoning violation, you may be able to get a variance or you may have to move the business only. If it is a licensing issue for the business, buy a license.
