Legal Question in Business Law in Indiana
Obligations to warranty After Selling a company
I recently sold a business. In my business, I made repairs and offered a one year guarentee. The person whom purchased my business, is now doing repairs on warranty calls, and trying to bill me for the re-work. I explained to him, since he now owns the biz, he also owns the warrenty. Once I formally dissolve my company, am I personally responsable to pay this guy everytime he does a warranty call on one of my repairs?
Thank you

Re: Obligations to warranty After Selling a company
You need to provide more information. Did you have a written contract for the sale of your company's assets? Did it provide for the assumption of liabilities? As a corporation did you follow all of the requisite legal requirements?
