Legal Question in Business Law in Indiana

I'm the owner of a small construction business. A current homeowner that we are doing work for is not happy with the amount of time it has taken to do the job(due to weather), but we do not have a time stated on the contract they signed. I suspect he will attempt to "kick" us off the job. What can we do?

As a Franchise Attorney I can say this is really a client relations issue. If a time is not stated in the contract, then completion should be within a reasonable period of time, given everything, including weather conditions that affect performance. But, as I said, it's more important to deal with it as a client relations issue - try explaining and getting agreement (in writing, if possible). Consult with a good business or franchise attorney in your area for specific advice.

I agree with Mr. Murphy and also suggest that you should consider filing a mechanics lien.
