Legal Question in Business Law in Indiana
partnership
Am desperately trying to wade through the 120 business lawyers in the Indy area....my problem is as follows....Formed a DBA with live in partner. Company grew and became a Inc.Was lied to when company went Inc. Was told I was an officer. Am not. Partner circled the wagons and shut me out of eleven homes with an equity of approx. $400.000.00. I did not receive any compensation over a 4 year period as I rehabbed these homes and made this company a success. With witness testimony and the documents( Tax forms from other companies made out to me with my companies tax ID # on them and Ameritech ad contracts signed by me ...''The owner'' ) I possess I feel Its a slam dunk. Witness testimony is very weighty as well.... ie the individual who introduced us to the proper 'rehab finance company' did so because of my relationship with him. With out said finance company all would have been impossible as banks rarely loan on distressed homes.
How do I find the right lawyer in this sea....help

Re: partnership
First of all, there is no such thing as a slam dunk in the law and you will have difficulty finding a lawyer if one of the first words out of your mouth is that it is a slam dunk case. That being said, it does sound like you have some solid evidence.
Finding the right business lawyer can be difficult. I would make a check list of things you want from a lawyer and do some research and interview two or three and see who seems best in light of what you feel is important from your check list.
Good luck
