Legal Question in Business Law in Indiana
If we are a for profit business and we have a paid employee who is a technician, responsible for doing various office tasks, and she volunteers to write a monthly newsletter for us outside of work (unpaid) can we accept her offer or must we pay her for her time on that?

It would be best if you paid her something for her time. You don't want to be in a position of facing a claim for nonpayment of work.
