Legal Question in Business Law in Indiana
Does a real estate broker have the authority to sign contracts regarding having services performed on the real estate office ? Example: Having asphalt parking lot seal coated. Can they cut a check or get a check written? Can the agent make decsions on having the work performed?

Normally, an agent doesn't have the authority to sign contracts for the agency if he isn't an owner or partner thereof. However, if the owner knew of the contract and approved of it, the owner can possibly be held liable for the costs. The agent cannot cut a check or make decisions unless he has approval from the owner.
