Legal Question in Business Law in Indiana
I repair musical instruments in Indiana. Most are shipped to my location from out of state. I have an instrument that was shipped in from Ohio. I invoiced the customer, and never received payment. Over a year later after repeated reminders (and excuses on the customers part) I have still not received payment. Can I sell the instrument to recoup the repair costs?

Yes. You have invoiced, sent reminders, and after one year, still have not received payment. Presuming that payment was due immediately upon being invoiced, you are entitled to sell the item to recoup the costs of repair. tma
