wrongful termination
In the state of indiana can an employer fire you on the spot if you give them a 2 weeks notice. Are they required to give a severence pay for the 2 weeks that you would have worked had they not terminated you?

This is an at-will employment state, and the employer can fire you at any time. Employer does not owe you for the two weeks. Consider yourself fortunate, if you are fired you can apply for unemployment benefits.

Indiana is an employment at will state. Unless you have a written contract specifying the conditions of termination or are part of a union, the employer can terminate you for any reason that is not discriminatory or in violation of public policy. Severence pay is not required.
