Non-payment for work performed
My boyfriend worked for a small trucking company in Indianapolis, IN. He was not paid over a period of about 4 months but was always promised that he would be ''paid on Friday''. He has a list of things that he did for the company, during business hours and after. The total is staggering. The owner refuses to pay him even at least half the amount. We don't know whether to contact an attorney or settle in civil court. As a result of this non-payment we are facing eviction and other problems stemming from this. What do we do?

Try filing a complaint with the Indiana Department of Labor www.state.in.us/labor/wagehour/links.html

Contact the state wage and hour commission, they should have a free mechanism for you to report and collect wages owed.
