Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Indiana

Slander or Defamation of character

My question is this: Can one person take another person to court or is it slander or defamation of character when one person is talking directly to another person online about the way they live their lives, their jobs, whether they do or do not pay support, the way they teach their kids and or forewarning them to make sure they don't lie to the state about food stamp assistance? If it is slander or defamation, then how? Thanks

I am sorry, but I cannot really understand the thrust of your question. Can you restate it?

Re: Slander or Defamation of character

It is not slander or defamation if someone is having a conversation WITH you about your life, even if other people are present. They are free to express their point of view, and you are free to end the conversation.
