Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Indiana

I am being sued twice for the same things.

Our previous landlord sued my husband for damages and past rent and they have a judgement against us. About a month after we recieved the judgement I was served with another set of papers ordering me to appear in court again with all the same damages and rent listed. My husband and I wasn't married at the time of this residence but we are both on that lease and both our names appeared on the judgement papers. Can they turn around and sue me again for the same thing?

It is not clear from your question whether you have been served with another Summons and Complaint for the same debt. It may be that you have been served with an Order for Appearance of Judgment Debtor, which would order you to appear for examination by your judgment creditor. Pay attention to it. Failure to appear may subject you to the issuance of a bench warrant. If that is not the document you were served with, consult with an attorney so that he/she can evaluate your position.
