Re: work place abuse
An employer may not create a hostile work environment based on one's gender. Your supervisor's comments may run afoul of the protections of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act. Generally, employment decisions may not be based on a protected class, such as gender. Depending on the severity or pervasiveness of your manager's comments or whether there is an adverse employment action associated with these comments, you may have a legal action against your employer.
