I am not an Indiana lawyer, but in Illinois that is libel just as if they had put it in a paper. Few lawyers will take a libel case unless there are substantial damages. You could complain to the owner of the website where they posted the false story and request action (removal of the story, removal of the account, suspension of the offender, etc.)

You may have a claim for libel, but you did not say if the story was defamatory, as well as being false. For libel to exist, the material published must "defame" you -- must be such that, if it is believed, then people would think less of you and your reputation would be damaged.

A good example of this is publication of a false story that someone is dead. This in itself is not defamatory: no one holds a lower opinion of a man, simply because he died. It's false, but not defamatory: hence, no libel.
