Sarbanes-Oxley Act and keeping electronic data for 5 years?

In one forum, someone said:

''(because of Sarbanes-Oxley)... A public company is FORBIDDEN by law to use web mail/IM/Chat or any server for communications or data that is not replicated and stored for 5 yrs in clear text''.

In short: That act says ''store email for 5 years''? Is that true?

This is a very complicated piece of legislation. You can get a copy online and search for data retention requirements or just read it, but this forum is not intended for public companies that can afford competent legal counsel.
