Legal Question in Consumer Law in Indiana

Debt collection

Can a creditor demand payment on a debt, after a five year span, provided i have NOT, in any way, avoided payment, or ignored their billings? The time delay in billing me, was their error in bookkeeping. Am i still liable for this debt?

Re: Debt collection

Of course you are still liable for the debt. The fact that they haven't billed you doesn't make it go away. In Indiana, they have up to 10 years from the date you incurred the debt to collect it against you.
