Legal Question in Consumer Law in Indiana
I got scammed
I bought a camera over the internet with my credit card for 634.00. My confirmation sent to my e-mail confirmed that. They said I had to call them by phone with order number in order to be shipped. I did and the salesman tried to pressure me into a 285.00 upgrade. I refused the upgrade. I then read some reviews of this company and they were terrible. So the next day I called them to cancel and they told me I couldn't cancel and that 919.00 would be charged to my credit card. I said why and they told me because of the 285.00 upgrade, which I never ordered and my e-mail confirmation confirmed that it was 634.00 I then called them back in a few days and told them I wanted to send it back to them and I needed a RA number. They said it would cost me 280.00 for a restocking fee. I asked why, since the box that the camera came in had never been opened. They said because that is what we want to charge you and you can't do anything about it. I said I don't care because I plan on persuing this further and get my money back anyway. They said we will not give you a RA number and your stuck with it. Since we're not talking about alot of money. It probably wouldn't benifit me to hire a lawyer. I need to know if I have any options to get 919.0
