attorney as collection agent for medical

I have had a hernia surgery that was not covered by insurance. I have not worked since last May and I need to know if I should give an attorney acting as the collection agent for the hospital, my bank account information as he is requesting?

If you are ordered by the court, you must give it up. The attorney would probably do that if you did not agree to give it to him.
