Bill collectors summons

I have arranged to make payments on some medical bills when I recieved a summons? in the mail yesterday from the court office. since arrangements have been made to the attorney will I still have to show up in court? & explain to the judge as the date on the summons? is april 22 and I recieved it yesterday 4/3/08. what will happen if I don't show up even though prior arrangements have been made ? thank you for your time need to know ASAP.

You need to talk to the attorney with whom you made the arrangements about whether it is agreed that the hearing date is continued and make sure that whatever you get is in writing.
