Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Indiana

Car accident

I was a passenger in a car that crashed into another car in June of 2003. I was young at the time and assumed that the insurance of the driver of the car would be taking care of any bills. I was hurt and had to go to the hospital. I recently looked at my credit report and found that I have collection item stemming from this accident. I have found out that the driver has been in a legal battle with the other driver. I have their lawyers info. My question is what can I do to solve this? I am worried that it has been too long, but i was an innocent passenger and this is ruining my credit. I dont even care about pain and suffering, i just want it off my credit. Can you help?

Re: Car accident

You have a mess. You might have had a chance to get your medical bills paid even though you were a passenger. You need to contact a personal injury attorney.
