Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Indiana
civil law-collections
What is the time limit which a lawyer can collect on a medical bill? There are cases in our court from 15 years ago that attorneys are still filing prosups on.

Re: civil law-collections
Medical bills sound like an account and the statute of limitations for an account is 6 years. However, that is not the time to finish collecting but to start collecting on an account. The idea is that a case cannot lie dormant and from what you write these cases are not dormant.
