collection agency

my husband and I have been batteling with a medical collection agency,Allied, we have offered to pay half the amount, but they will not accept, is there any advice ? We cannot afford the whole amount up front as they want, we've tried working with them but they will not take payments.

You may want to consult with a bankruptcy attorney in your area because the collection agency is not required to accept your offer of payments.
