court summons regarding collections agency

I recieved a court summons that states an appropriate response to needs to filed within twenty days in regards to a law suit filed by an attorney for a debt collector. My question is what does my respone need to contain, and how can I set a payment plan that will be agreeable to the company.

for what the Answer needs to contain read rules 7 and 8: http://www.in.gov/judiciary/rules/trial_proc/index.html#r7

You will need to talk to opposing counsel about setting up a payment plan.
