Re: credit card debt

Get to an attorney now.

Your facts raise a couple of flags which email is just not a good method of coming to an understanding about.

If the Decree says that wife was to hold you harmless, then you can cite her for contempt.

If your Decree says nothing about holding you harmless, you can sue her in the same court you are being sued in. (And you should really talk to your divorce attorney about why there was no hold harmless clause.)

However, you say you never signed for the cards you are being sued on. You had to have signed for them to be liable. I got to admit that I am assuming that you meant what you said about being sued and it is not collection agency trying to collect the debt. You need to see the contracts for the credit cards.

Get yourself to an attorney ASAP.
