Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Indiana
If a creditor sues in court, what happens? Do they just want a payment agreement? My husband has a very small self employed business, and I've been unemployed, and not able to make payments as it is. If we can't even afford to file bankruptcy, what are we up against. Thank you greatly for you input.

If you owe the money, the court enters a judgment. The creditor then institutes supllemental proceedings to obtain the money from you by garnishment or attachment. they may or may not agree to a payment plan without a judgment being entered.
