Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Indiana

if a debt collection agency garnishees an account incorrectly e.g. social security and has to refund the funds but then says they have already passed on the funds to the company that hired them and therefore they do not have to pay but you have to deal with the original company not them what is your recourse ?

No, the people who garnished your account are responsible. Consult with an attorney to obtain proper action against them.
