Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Indiana

I have a debt collector trying to collect on a payday loan that was taken out in 2011. I have never heard about it until now. They can't show me prove of what I owe. What can I do to stop the collection if it is not mine?

If they haven't filed suit, you have nothing to worry about. If they bother you, tell them to stop. If they don't, go to an attorney and report their behavior because there are rules prohibiting certain debt collection practices.
