Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Indiana

debt collector phone harrassment

both my adult children have debts on credit cards that they are now unable to pay. when they got the credit, they used my phone number as a contact number. They were adults at the time of getting the credit. Now the credit companies are continually calling me (3 or more times a day). I tell them that my children do not live with me and that they should quit calling me. They said there is nothing I can do about it and they'll call when they want and as often as they want. What can I do to stop the harrassment. Can they be sued under the FDCPA? I do not have a debt relation with any of these companies.

Yes, I think you need to contact a local attorney who handles Fair Debt Collection Practices Act cases.
