due dates on crdit cards
is there a legal date that credit card company's say you have to make the payment or charge you a late charge..For instance if their due date is Sept 5 is there a grace to get it to them on all credit cards such as someone like a business that carries its own credit card or payments to anything..I am being charges $25 for a 3 day late payment and that account is always paid in full everytime..Can I refuse to pay the late charge if it is at a 10 day grace period? Thankyou

Re: due dates on crdit cards
Annoying as it is, the credit card company is within its rights to apply their exorbitant late fee when the payment is even a minute late. (Most credit card agreements have an hour of the day, in fine print of course, on the deadline by which the funds must be received.) However, I suggest you call the customer service number of the greedy barbarians, tell them you object to the late fee, remind them that you always pay, and suggest that if they do not want your business, perhaps someone else will. I predict the evil usurers will remove the late fee, once every year or so. Good luck.
