failed to comply with a court order

I am in a bankruptcy. We got behind with mortage payments and to go in front of the judge with are mortage company. There was agrement made to send in a lump sum and for six months pay extra on are normal monthly payment to get caught up after three months the mortage comany started sending are payments back. They said that we did not send in the lump sum. We have a reciept where they had signed for it regersterd mail and proof it was cashed. now they want us to pay late fees attorny fees and other charges. The mortage company has also now started forcloser . We did are part and they messed up. They did admit they got the lump sum payment to are bankruptcy lawyer later, after they started proceedings to get the house out of the bankruptcy.The mortage comp. wants to hold us liable for are mistake, what can we do to hold acountable for there mistake?

If you have actually filed bankruptcy instead of just hired an attorney for bankruptcy, the bankruptcy court provides quite a few protections. I am surprised you have not talked to your bankruptcy attorney about this problem. You need to talk to whatever attorney is handling your bankruptcy.
