Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Indiana
I had a home improvement loan that was discharged in a bankruptcy in 2001. The company still show as a lien holder and now they are trying to get me to admit I owe the debt or make an arrangement to pay it. It has been 14 years. What are my options.

If the debt was discharged, you don't have to pay it. However, if the loan holder had a mortgage on your home, the debt is still a lien and you cannot sell the home without paying off the debt.
