Law suit by a third party on a payment bill

I was off work and am now diabled and the hopital turned a bill in against me for nonpayment. The agency it was turned over too let some lawyers have it and i have to go to small claims court but have no money to pay for it. What can happen to me and what if i should not show up will they take my wifes wages.

Failure to appear in court can result in a body attachment compelling appearance. If the primary debtor is unable to pay a medical obligation, Indiana will place the obligation on the spouse and if satisfactory arrangements for payment are not made with the creditor, the spouse's wages can be garnished.
