Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Indiana

Legal question on debt

I have an outstanding debt with a creditor. They contacted me in September claiming if I didn't respond, I would be going to my local county court, but has not contacted me since until this week making the same threat. Why would they wait 7 mths if they were set to take me to court in Sept? They won't do a payment plan they claim. I live in Indiana and I am not sure where they are at, but pretty sure they are out of state. Do I have any options? They claim I have none, but to pay it or go to court. If we go to court, they will probably garnish me, but the garnishment won't be anything better than a payment arrangement so I really understand any of this. What are my optios and rights?

Re: Legal question on debt

Your options are not many: 1) fight the suit if you have a valid defense, 2) file bankruptcy.
