Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Indiana

I got a letter from the county sheriff about seizing my property to settle a debt. I only own 2 things my car (worth less than $2,000 via bluebook) and a few pairs of clothes (it's been a rough few years.) Since I don't own anything what, if anything, should I do about this?

Try to pay off the debt. He might be able to take your car.
