Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Indiana

i had a loan on a 05 ram pickup & to free up some $ i had someone who is no longer a friend take over the loan but i was still stuck on it.The guy who took over the loan broke his foot playing pokemon go & lost his job then hide the truck,he wouldnt talk to dealership or me saying we both screwed him & that we would never find truck to make short & simple.dealership is not letting me get truck back unless some how come up with full balance.i have a signed paper from guy who hide truck & got it repoed,can i sue him for the remaining balance if & after the dealer chooses to sell the truck?i am also still trying to get them to let me take truck back since when it was in my possesion all payments were usaully a day early & with a little extra(just few dollars most of time).id rather get truck back to aviod credit being destroyed as im trying get a house soon,i can afford to take truck back just not letting me currently.i even told dealer i was willing make up payments from when guy hide truck that i could have half in same day & other half in week or 2.

Your story should be made into a movie. Basically you are screwed, glued, and tatooed! You played all of your cards wrong. Now the only thing left is to pay off the truck in order to get it back. If you don't, you are out of your money and the truck. Do it different next time.
