Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Indiana

medical billing

my son who was on medicaid had to have a cat scan, this has been two years ago, there was never a bill sent to me or him, he was just 17 at the time, then after nine months he started getting billed for this about every three months with him being a minor at the time we got the billing stopped for him but then all of the sudden they have sent it to collections for me, I am wondering in there is a statues of limitations for the billing, I had never recieved one from the company to start with and just recently from the collections.
