my money was refused

i went to pay my car payment which was two days late and they refused my money can they legally do that

Based on my experience, there is more to it than 2 days. But if you are in default, no matter how many days that is, then yes, they can refuse a payment from you. Most places have grace periods. I suspect you are further down than 2 days though.
