Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Indiana

I paid for phone sex with a prepaid debit card...at least I thought I did...now I'm getting calls from the phone sex company threatning to file a police report for fraud because they said my card was no good. Didn't they check the card balance before setting up my call?

They have no obligation to check your balance. If you purchased a product, you must pay and make good on it. If you don't pay, you can be liable for court costs and attorney fees in addition to the original amount.
