Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Indiana

i have a question regarding payment. i went to a cell phone store to pay my bill and paid with my debit card. the guy that ran my card credited my account instead of debitting it. i went back in the store a month or so later to pay my bill again and the guy said well last time you were here i credited your acount instead of debiting from it so now you owe twice the balance. can they legally make me pay that back since it was their mistake?
