Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Indiana

small business credit card

My wife and I sold our business on 1/1/07. All we have left is two credit card debts to the small business with our name on the card. Debt is about $9,000. Are we better off filing for bankruptcy for the business, or trying to work out some kind of debt consolidation. How will this affect our personal credit.
