Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Indiana

Sombody put my name on a checking account without me knowing about it.

I am asking for a friend. His ex-wife put his name on a checking account without him knowing about it after they were divorced. Now she has wrote some bad checks, and the are bothering him about them. What should he do. Please help. Thank you.

Inform the bank which issued the checks that the account is a forgery. Cooperate with the bank, police and county prosecutor in any follow up requests.
