Student Loan Defaults
If you are in default of a student loan can anyone freeze or otherwise touch a bank account or other funds that may have your name on it?

Generally they need to have a judgment first although they can take tax refunds without giving notice. If they have a judgement, they can freeze your account without notice followed by a hearing to take the money. Consult an attorney, its free to talk to a bankruptcy specialist
