Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Indiana

Wifes credit cards

Wife owes approx. $60,000 on 4 different cards and she can't pay them. Her only income is ssdi, our house is titled as

tenants by the entirety, and she is on title to 2 cars probably worth $500 each. I have good credit and do not want to file bankruptcy. What happens if she just lets creditors take her to court?

Re: Wifes credit cards

Do you know that your wife can file bankruptcy without you filing as well? This idea seems worth exploring, at a minimum. Otherwise, when the credit card companies get judgments, they will be attempting to seize bank accounts, place liens on property, etc. Even if their tactics fail most of the time (because the debts were not joint), they will be annoying and, in some cases, may succeed.
