Legal Question in Criminal Law in Indiana

Im on 2 diff. probations and caught a new criminal conversion charge once i went to court they uped it to a d felony theft and hit me with a habitual offennder charge since it was originally a criminal conversion charge would the habitual offender charge stick and also since i caught this new charge i have 3 active warrants my main question is should i get a paid lawyer or would a public deffender be alright would a paid lawyer get me less time for a habitual offender charge???

It doesn't make a difference; each is a "real lawyer". If you can afford to hire one, you should do so.
