Legal Question in Criminal Law in Indiana
My 11 year old son stands accused of molesting a 5 yr old girl. He has already spoken to CPS and is now being asked to come in to speak with a detective. I can't really afford an attorney but was wondering if someone could help me make the right choices to protect my son from being railroaded. Both the caseworker and detective have eluded to my son not telling the truth; the detective did so without ever meeting my son. Do I allow him to speak with the detective without an attorney present? Thank you for any help you can provide.
